A faith-based non-profit youth ministry located in Vero Beach, Florida
HANDS ON DECK, HEARTS ON FIRE TEACHING TEENS TO NAVIGATE LIFE WITH FAITH AND COURAGE
Called Higher exists to come alongside parents and churches to give teens an opportunity to grow in Christian character and life skills. We do this by teaching youth the way of Jesus found in the Bible in an exciting environment of sailing and music ministry opportunities.
ABOUT US
Founded by Donathan and Kimberly Williams, Called Higher Sailing equips teens and young adults to grow in their faith in Jesus, character, and leadership through hands-on sailing adventures.
Since 2012, the program has combined expert sailing instruction with Bible study, mentoring, and intentional discipleship. From the Indian River Lagoon to the Bahamas, students learn to navigate both the water and their walk with Christ—emerging as skilled sailors and faith-driven leaders, ready to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
NACRA ADVENTURE
The first Nacra Adventure set sail in 2025 after months of preparation, as teens embarked on an open-ocean voyage from Florida to the Bahamas—a journey that stretched their faith, strengthened their leadership, and deepened their unity. In 2026, the adventure continues as the team sails high-performance catamarans from North Carolina’s Outer Banks to New York City, arriving near July 4th to celebrate America’s 250th year.
Coming January 2026: CHASING HORIZONS Documentary—a moving film that tells the story of the first Nacra Adventure and bears witness to God’s faithfulness through the courage and endurance of these young sailors.
CALLED HIGHER’S MISSION IS TO DISCIPLE AND EQUIP YOUTH THROUGH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES THAT BUILD CONFIDENCE, COMMUNITY, AND A DEEPER WALK WITH JESUS

CLASS SCHEDULE
Weekly sailing and discipleship classes are held during the fall and spring semesters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Vero Beach, Florida. Students gather at our classroom before heading out to sail in the Indian River Lagoon.
