At Called Higher Adventures, we believe faith grows strongest in motion; when young people are challenged, encouraged, and surrounded by truth. Through sailing and discipleship, we create space for students to encounter Jesus, build confidence, and experience real adventure on the water.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Donathan and Kimberly Williams have been serving in ministry since 1996. After years of leading youth and worship at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and later at Calvary Vero Beach, the Lord began stirring a new vision for discipleship.
A SHIFT IN DIRECTION
In 2010, during a New Year’s Eve prayer meeting, Donathan received a word from the Lord that would change everything—a call to disciple young people through adventure. A year later, that vision took shape in the world of sailing.
STEPPING OUT IN FAITH
Before launching the program, God led Donathan and Kimberly through a season of waiting and learning in Northwest Montana. When they returned to Florida, they began a one-month pilot program in 2012, combining Bible study and sailing. What started as a small step of faith has grown into Called Higher Sailing—a ministry that has touched countless young lives through mentorship, adventure, and the love of Christ.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
Today, Called Higher Sailing offers weekly discipleship and sailing classes for youth and young adults, ages 8 and up. Students learn seamanship, teamwork, and leadership through hands-on experience on sailboats in the Indian River Lagoon. Beyond the weekly sessions, our team leads overnight sailing trips and destination voyages to places like the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and even England—each one an opportunity for students to grow in both skill and faith.
